Young Entrepreneur Convention
Returns to Des Moines April 21-22
DES MOINES, Iowa (March 7, 2017) -- After drawing nearly 500 attendees to Des Moines in its first year, the Young Entrepreneur Convention (YECDM) returns to the Iowa State Fairgrounds Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 22. The second annual event promises to bring the same mix of high energy speakers, an emphasis on networking, and a pitch competition offering tens of thousands of dollars in prizes.
Tickets for the event are currently on sale at youngentrepreneurconvention.com. General admission tickets are $97 and include a seat for the keynote addresses, the choice of one of a handful of breakout sessions, light refreshments, access to the exhibit hall and an invitation to the new Mo-Fo Throwdown – a mobile food truck competition – and the Hops & Handshakes networking event featuring locally brewed beers. VIP tickets are $147 and in addition to the above, includes a special networking opportunity with the YECDM team, premier seating for keynotes, expanded refreshment options and a commemorative YECDM t-shirt.
“We were overwhelmed by the positive feedback after last year’s event,” says Brandon T. Adams, one of the YECDM founders and the emcee for this year’s event. “Hearing from so many young entrepreneurs who benefitted from the convention encouraged us to grow the event this year. We are very excited about what we have in store for 2017.”
YECDM has already announced the following keynotes and breakout speakers for the event:
In addition to these, Adams says another 3-4 speakers will be announced in the days to come. Adams says the YECDM team is confident this year’s speaker lineup will bring just as much value as last year’s did. He adds that among the coming announcements is a big name, he’s just not at liberty to release it yet.
“It is a name young entrepreneurs will know,” Adams says. “It is an individual who is blazing a trail in a whole new way and attracting the attention and investment of venture capital firms across the country. We can’t wait to make the announcement.”
For more information about YECDM, Adams says to follow on social media by searching “YECDM” or visit youngentrepreneurconvention.com.
“We are about six weeks out from the event right now and there is still a ton we have to share,” Adams says, pointing out that availability will open soon on a special add-on networking and educational tour with limited availability held during the day on Friday, April 21.
“I encourage people to give us a follow to keep up on things and to purchase their tickets,” he continues. “This is the kind of event that can change the course of an entrepreneur’s journey. We saw it happen for a handful of attendees last year. And we know it is going to happen again this year.”
